Just when every magazine and newspaper predicted the Middle East’s biggest wedding spectacle to date, Haifa Wehbe – Beiruti sex symbol who’s talents vary from “moving every possible part of her body including parts that have no muscles in them,” to flirtatiously healing sores by kissing you where it hurts – decided to give it a little twist. Modesty. Or (regrettably), so it seemed.
Over 300 of the Middle East’s VVIPs gathered in Beirut’s prestigious Biel venue to watch Haifa (in a reported floor-length Dolce&Gabbana gown) and Egyptian entrepreneur Ahmad Abu Husheima celebrate their love.
While the larger part of Wehbe’s management was devoted to generating publicity teasers in an endeavour to create the achieved media frenzy that circulated around the curvaceous star’s wedding, Haifa was busy planning a modest (considering her status) wedding for “loved ones only.”
The rumoured “star-studded guest-list” to attend the lavish cocktail wedding (held yesterday, Friday, the 24th of April, 2009) included Playboy model Carmen Electra, Paris Hilton, Tara Reed, Fergie, Enrique Iglesias, Beyoncé and Rihanna.
Anastacia however, was reportedly present.
Egyptian singer Amro Diab, allegedly to perform at the wedding, was a no show. Instead, Ragheb Alami, renowned Lebanese singer purportedly stood substitute.
And, despite denied media access, reports claimed the attendance of “Oprah correspondent, Tarek Hijazi.”
Strict security forbade the leaking of images from Haifa’s wedding as cameras were banned and mobile photography was continuously monitored to prevent loss of image exclusivity.
Haifa is reportedly getting ready to jet off to the Caribbean.
